Job Description -
The Planning Assistant will support two comprehensive financial advisors by taking charge of the crucial financial planning workflow -- coordinating and tracking projects plus the Financial Plan preparation and vital follow-up.

This role will also support the client relationship by working with clients to resolve issues and by responding to service requests and maintaining an excellent record of client completions.

The Planning Assistant will participate in investment product research, review of existing portfolios and layout of insurance product illustrations for client solutions - within required timeframes and deadlines.

Skills Required:
This position requires utilizing multiple computer based tools, a comfort with new and changing technologies. Superior experience and skill with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel & Outlook) is a must!

Other skills needed are:
- Focused attention to detail and organization of incoming information.
- Excellent verbal and written grammar plus listening communication skills with clients, advisors, staff and home office.
- Courteous and clear phone manner always.
- Superior and effective time management skills for organizing multiple priorities and task flows.
- Self-starter, ability to think on your feet and anticipate needs & outcomes.
- Hard-working, high energy, articulate and ethical.
- Positive team attitude and sincere willingness to learn and grow.
- College degree or higher - Finance majors preferred
- Familiarity with various investment account types (401(k), IRA, Roth IRA, SEP IRA, etc.) is helpful.
- Familiarity with the basic types of insurance products is a plus.
- Series 7, Series 66 and CA Insurance Licenses are helpful but not required
