After School Program Leader (Azusa / Baldwin Park / Covina / Duarte)

THINK Together's mission is to provide high-quality, academically oriented out-of-school programs for students regardless of race, creed, or socioeconomic status. Since its inception in 1994, THINK (Teaching, Helping, Inspiring and Nurturing Kids) Together has been committed to improving academic outcomes for children and youth living in under-resourced communities.

The Sub/Program Leaders work directly with an assigned class of approximately 20-25 students, acting as a positive adult role model, coach, and mentor. Program Leaders must have a genuine interest in the growth, development, and provision of a safe and nurturing environment for the students they teach. A Program Leader's ability to establish authority through leadership, communication, and most importantly patience, will be required in giving our students the stability and nurturing atmosphere they need to succeed. Ensuring that THINK Together students reach their potential takes a tremendous amount of hard work, flexibility,and commitmentWe are seeking positive, team oriented individuals who are passionate about making a difference!

High School Diploma or G.E.D. Required;NCLB Compliance (completion of 48 college units or passing an Instructional Aide Exam or by passing THINK Together's Pre Employment Test (district specific)).Successfully pass THINK Together's Pre-Employment Test.Ability to speak and write standard English appropriate in a public school setting.Must pass Live Scan (criminal background check via fingerprinting).Proof of TB Test (valid within the past 3 years from hire date).At least six months experience working with a group of 15 or more students in a classroom setting, after school, or recreation environment.Program Leaders MUST be available to work between the hours of 12:45 and 6:00pm Monday-Friday (Minimum School Days and Early-Out days vary by school site)
