HR Development Manager

Overview of Role

A requirement for an Human Resources Development Manager has arisen within the Electricity Alliance.

Key Responsibilities
You will be accountable to the HR Manager and be responsible for:
-Managing the Alliance Performance Development Review process, ensuring that all development needs for Alliance employees are collated into an organisational training plan for costing and prioritisation.
-In conjunction with the HR Manager, put together The Alliance training budget for salaried staff to be put forward as part of the yearly target cost. Once agreed, manage the budget and prioritise training and development needs in conjunction with Alliance Management Team and service heads.
-Researching and maintaining a database of training providers and ensuring that the Alliance gets maximum return on investment.
-Ensuring compliance with NG TP Authorisation processes to ensure that all Alliance personnel that require competence achieve the necessary authorisations to act in their role.
-Preparing monthly reports for inclusion in board level documents.
-Delivering internal management development training programmes and co-ordinating the external 5Cs programme ensuring that mechanisms are in place to make sure the learning is deployed within the individual's role and the impact measured and reported on.
-Maintaining and managing the EAW Talent Management Programme - Elevate, providing personal development and career coaching sessions for individuals on the programme.
-Working with the Alliance Management Team to update succession plans and nominations for targeted Talent Management. In conjunction with Departmental Heads formulate and action development plans to target succession needs and skills shortage areas.
-Undertaking any Projects as outlined in Personal Development Review Process
-To be pivotal in the Business Transformation project, writing and delivering training programmes which is required to support the business cultural change.

Experience Required

The successful candidate should posses the following:
-Excellent training and presentation skills for a range of group sizes and audience types.
-Good negotiation skills to deal with external training providers.
-Best practice knowledge of organisational development methods, strategies and processes.
-A good level of experience in a Learning and Development role.
-Must have an enthusiastic and positive attitude to the aims of the HR Team in providing a first class service to the business.
-Excellent administration skills and attention to detail.
-Full clean Driving Licence.
