Located in Hamburg, Northern Germany, we require the services of a professional, competent and respected high voltage grid connection engineer with German and English language skills.

Your responsibilities will be:

• Leads the electric portion of the turn key offshore substation
• Leading technical negotiations with contractors, suppliers and partners and the technical specification drafting
• Management of the transmission system operator (TSO) interface
• Leading technical negotiations with TSO and partners for the development of the technical part of a connection contract intended grid
• Leading grid compliance studies (static and dynamic models)
• Management Interface on all packages
• Definition of important technical requirements of technical specifications
• Total project management requirements such as QA, accelerate, cost control, tracking/add as needed to negotiate claims etc.
• Approval of design in accordance with specific project requires applicable codes, standards, internal norms, standards and regulations.

Your experience and qualifications will:

Electrical engineer with good knowledge in low, medium and high voltage and control/protection technology
Project management skills including contract management
• Good knowledge of MS Office applications (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project, etc.)
• Experience in business of wind energy
• High HSE awareness
• Excellent interpersonal, problem solving and decision making skills
• Flexibility, good physical fitness and willingness to travel required
• Experience in quality management
• Good ability to liaise with other departments/clients where necessary
• Effective oral and written communication skills and the ability to effectively communicate in English and German
