The primary duties will be to ensure the efficient and effective maintenance of a diverse fleet of vehicles - buses, shuttles, and other diverse vehicles. This may include overhauls, diagnostic work, electronics, brake jobs with or without air assist , DOT Inspections, and HVAC.. YOU MUST HAVE YOUR OWN TOOLS AND BE CAPABLE OF OPERATING DIAGNOSTIC EQUIPMENT WITH SKILL. WE PREFER TO HAVE PEOPLE WITH COMMERCIAL CLASS A/B LICENSE WITH PASSENGER ENDORSEMENT & AIR BRAKES. Basic Duties and qualifications include, but are not restricted to some of the following:

Assist in the machining of parts for automotive equipment and machinery according to specifications.
Prepare necessary records pertaining to work performed, computer skills a big plus. Must be computer literate.
Perform Diagnostic checks/repairs on air brakes and suspension systems.
Assist in maintaining inventory of equipment, supplies and materials.
Follow a predetermined preventative maintenance program on buses, trucks, cars and other power driven equipment.
Strong knowledge of electronic diagnostics and principles.
Must be self motivated and able to work without supervision.
Due to 24/7 operation, must have flexibility to work nights and weekends.

Required Qualifications at this Level

Education/Training:
Work requires an educational background normally acquired through a high school education with course work in skilled crafts or trades.

Experience:
Work requires a practical knowledge of heavy and light automotive mechanical equipment maintenance normally acquired through 4 years of automotive repair with an emphasis on full size coaches and shuttle buses. Professional Training and certifications is a must.
