We are an independent pharmacy in the Downtown Los Angeles area, looking for an LVN to help educate our patients on dual therapy and triple therapy Hepatitis C drug regimen as well as injection therapy for osteoporosis .
No experience is needed; the new hire will be thoroughly trained by our healthcare professionals. Classes will sometimes be in assigned classrooms, and sometimes at the patient's home.

Pay is competitive and the position is great for a nurse looking for a secondary job.
Nurse must provide his/her own transportation and must have insurance. Travel expenses will be compensated.

Start Date: Immediately

Requirements:
-Strong communication and people skills
-Responsible and reliable
-Have own transportation, with auto insurance and clean driving record
-Must be able to pass health screening, TB test, and criminal background check.
-Ability to speak other languages is a plus

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

? RN degree required
? Current CA licensure
? 2+ years training in Oncology Nursing that includes central line/IV and BLS cert.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

At least two years of experience in an oncology clinic or infusion area of hospital
Experience with starting IVs, Accessing Portacaths, Picc Lines etc.
Experience administering Chemotherapy
Working knowledge of managed care basics, and experience working with a managed care and Medicare population.
Computer literate, with keyboard skills
Good communication skills

Essential Duties & Responsibilities of Oncology Certified Nurse includes:
Administers chemotherapy, hydration and other medications under the direction and supervision of a physician. Assists physician with exams and procedures. Maintains efficient and appropriate patient flow in and out of exam rooms.
Performs venipuncture, accesses implanted ports and maintains central lines catheter devices.
