The Area Manager will increase market penetration in the Los Angeles area in order to realize the untapped potential in this market. Primary responsibilities for this position are to develop relationships with all potential customers, become an expert on the local market, identify potential opportunities, and secure orders. Job includes potential for growth and increasing levels of responsibility. All necessary support will be provided to insure that hard work will result in great success. Territory will include Los Angeles and surrounding areas. Position will report to the Regional Manager.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
? Form relationships with all current and potential customers in the Los Angeles area.
? Maintain a high level of customer contact via phone, email, and meetings. A majority of time will be spent in face-to-face meetings with customers and potential customers.
? Prospect for new customers and new markets.
? Follow-up on inquiries and potential projects.
? Prepare proposals, and follow through to close of sale.
? Visit projects to provide support to installing contractors.
? Become recognized throughout the territory as a resource and problem solver for customers.
? Work with Regional Manager to plan strategy to achieve optimal results in local territory.
? Some overnight travel will be required (up to approximately 20%).

REQUIREMENTS:
? 2 to 4 years experience selling technical products in the construction or industrial fields.
? Minimum of an Associates degree (Bachelors preferred).
? Successful track record of exceeding goals and targets.
? An ability to understand and explain technical and engineering concepts.
? Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; including written, oral, and strong presentation skills.
? Ability to listen and understand customers' needs.
? A strong ability to create and maintain relationships, and build trust with customers.
? A desire to provide a high level of customer satisfaction.
? The ability to work remotely without direct supervision, and the discipline to remain self-motivated.
