Staffing Coordinator, Full-Time
Reports To: Education Manager

Position Overview:

The Staffing Coordinator is member of the front-line staff, working under the Education Floor Manager to coordinate part-time employees scheduling, oversees the museum budget for part time staffing as well as daily cash handling, and act as back up Museum floor support in collaboration with the Education Managers.

Primary Responsibilities Include:

? Creates and troubleshoot scheduling for 25-45 PT Education staff employees on When to Work (W2W) software within publishing deadlines.
? Oversee daily museum operations schedule of programs and activities; modify staff placement and rotation as needed to cover all safety and programming needs.
? Work closely with Education Specialists and Managers to coordinate museum programs and learning experiences in the sciences, arts and humanities for a variety of audiences including children and families, schools, scouts, etc.
? Assists the Education Floor Manager to create a strategic plan for the guest experience in the galleries.
? Assists in the development of gallery staffing plans for daily operations as well as traveling exhibitions.
? Assist the Education Floor Manager in evaluation and supervision of part time Education staff & overall guest experience.
? Manages PT Staffing budget as it relates to monthly payroll totals, yearly projections, and museum staffing needs.
? Coordinates and schedules new demonstrations, activities, and events for the gallery floor, and works collaboratively with the Education Managers.
? Coordinates the regular on-going training of gallery PT staff and volunteers.
? Primary cash handler on Education staff; prepares daily cash drawers for opening; reconcile stations for closing; assist with daily deposits as needed.
? Adhere to cash handling procedures and propose measures to improve accountability and accuracy.
? Schedule new hire orientations for employees and volunteers, process paperwork and communicate company policies and objectives.
? Assist with coordination and implementation of Kidspace special events.
? Monitor Museum floor supplies needed to facilitate daily operations.
? Tracking tardiness, absences, and daily performance documentation of part time staff.
? Oversees PT staffing time off, availability, and staff requests from Museum departments
? Assist Education Programs Manager with volunteer and internship program through ongoing coordination, orientation and recruitment.
? Respond to guest inquiries and concerns promptly.
? Support front-line staff and Education Managers with daily Museum operations.
? Adhere to safety procedures for handling incidents, injuries and emergencies to ensure a safe and responsive environment for guests and staff; monitor the facility to identify potential hazards; administer basic first aid; coordinate efforts to locate children/guardians.
? Update website page (Today at Kidspace) content as needed.

Experience/Qualifications:

? B.A./B.S. degree required.
? Highly Detail Oriented
? Proven customer service and retail skills.
? Budget experience preferred
? Scheduling experience preferred
? Energetic, creative individual with excellent organizational skills and the ability to work well as part of the education department team.
? Available to work flexible hours, including at least one weekend day and occasional evenings.
? Problem solver with a positive, cooperative attitude.
? Be open to learning and adapt to changes as they arise within the museum
? Ability to communicate in the written and spoken word with tact, diplomacy, and/or authority
when necessary.
? Able to talk, see, stoop, bend, reach stand for long periods of time, have agility to climb up towers and
through tunnels and walk in order to perform Educator duties
? Able to quickly respond to emergency situations
? Ability to lift up to 25 pounds
? Able to work in a outdoor environment with climate and temperature changes for long periods of time
The Staffing Coordinator position is a non-exempt position with a 40-hour work week (Sunday through
Thursday) and a flexible schedule, depending on programming needs (weekends included). Benefits

Rig Hand - Floor Hand - TRS Staffing Solutions - Ventura, CA

We currently seek an experienced Rig Hand/Floor Hand for an immediate opportunity within our clients team of experienced professionals. This is a contract to permanent position, based in the Ventura, CA area.

Pay Rate: $20 - $24/hour

The successful candidate will support the drilling rig set up, operation and dismantling. Racks and move tubulars and makes up and breaks out drill string in absence of automated equipment. Maintains tools and equipment and performs housekeeping around rig.

Responsibilities:
Assists in drilling rig erection (rig up) and dismantling (rig down)
Inspects, places, assembles, pins, bolts and levels components to prepare rig for drilling operations
May install substructure, rig floor, derrick, handrails, guardrails, stairs, walkways, ladders, hoisting systems, rotating systems, power systems, circulating systems and auxiliary equipment using hand and power tools under direction of senior drilling crew members
Performs housekeeping around rig, keeping rig floor clean and clear of tools after each trip
Washes down blowout preventers and keeps shale shaker and de-sander clean when in use
Chips, scrapes and paints rig components and equipment as required
May unload tubulars from trucks onto racks
Makes up (trips in or runs) and breaks out (trips out or pulls) drill string. Sets and removes slips
Maneuvers suspended tubulars using floor
Visually inspects drill string and reports washouts, excessive wear, joint or thread damage
Maintains tool room inventory and performs minor maintenance on tools and equipment. Inspects tongs, greasing and replacing dies as needed. Checks and replaces snub lines, break out lines, chains, hanging lines and counterweight assembly as required
Reverses process to dismantle rig for storage and portability after production casing is run and cemented

Qualifications:
Minimum high school diploma or equivalent
Minimum of 1 year experience working as a Floorhand on a Drilling Rig
Valid driver license
Capability to work and communicate effectively in team environment

Physical Demands:
Regularly required to stand; walk; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
Frequently required to lift or exert force up to 100 pounds
Requires close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
