Orange County Children's Foundation, Inc., (DBA: Harbor City Children's Foundation & Emancipation Institute) operates three level 11, six bed Residential Treatment Facilities/Group Homes for adolescent males 12-17 years of age.
We are currently seeking a part-time Group Home Therapist to work at our Carson site and provide the following:

-Develope APPRAISAL NEEDS AND SERVICE PLAN for clients entering the facility.

-Evaluate each client in conjuction with evaluations by the psychologist, psychiatrist and physician.

-Compile the initial 30 day EVALUATION SUMMARY/TREATMENT PLAN for each client.

-Individual, group & family therapy sessions or in an alternative activity for the prescribed minimum of hours weekly AND to log and summarize each session (Therapy Notes) through use of case consultation and/or DSM IV

-Coordinate with Manager/Administrator to ensure that newly entering clients are enrolled in an appropriate educational program in a timely manner.

-Attend IEP meetings for each client as the administrator's designee

-Assume responsibility for gathering information, completion and distribution of quarterly reports by their due dates.

-Review case plans quarterly and as required. Participate in regular clinical consultation, and provide consultation to staff as needed.

-Follow Agency policies and procedures with respect to Program services and management.

-Meet billing requirements and maintain records.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

-Master's degree from accredited college or university. LCSW, LMFT.

-Minimum two (2) years direct service experience with adolescents required.

-Experience in a Residential setting preferred. Must be able to appropriately maintain confidentiality, exercise discretion and use sound, independent judgment.

-Must have a perceptive awareness of the needs and responses of adolescents and the capacity to work well with adults.

-Ability to work evenings

- Basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel

MUST POSSESS THE FOLLOWING COMPETENCIES:

-Excellent Communication Skills (written, oral presentation and active listener)

-Effectiveness under pressure

-Provide high quality services

SUPERVISION

The Therapist is a clinical professional who, although not supervised by the Administrator is responsible to him/her.
