Experience:
Bachelor's Degree in Business, Health or Wellness preferred. Minimum two years sales experience and one year management experience required.
Language:
Read, analyze and interpret, company documents, basic legal documents, and financial reports. Ability to respond in a pro-active manner to all inquiries and complaints from employees, members, regulatory agencies or members of the business community. Ability to effectively present information both written and verbal to management team, public groups, clients, vendors and employees.
Mathematical Skills:
Ability to read P&L statements and to create and manage a budget. Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inferences. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations.
Reasoning Skills:
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
Certifications/Licenses:
First Aid
AED/CPR
ACE, NASM, ACSM preferred

Supervisory Responsibilities:
Under the general supervision of the General Manager, the AGM oversees support staff (service desk, kids club, housekeepers) and will carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with Company's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include supervising all Front Desk, Kids Club and Housekeeping employees and their direct reports and the day-to-day department activities, including overall workload schedule, personnel issues, payroll and work environment. Responsible for interviewing, hiring and training, performance appraisals, addressing complaints and resolving problems with employees and members. In the absence of the General Manager, the AGM will assume the authority, roles and responsibilities of the General Manager.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following.
As a primary representative of the club, the AGM is responsible for oversight into customer service, club profitability, and daily operations of the health club facility including but not limited to:
Sales, new member acquisition, lead generation (community out-reach), retention, service penetration and club usage, Drive total gym revenue and controllable expenses to budget, Plans and promotes special events for the club, High quality and consistent member experience, Staff development and retention, Member and employee safety, Daily paperwork, documentation Holds sales, safety and other operational meetings, Facility maintenance, Support the GM in creating club budget, Adherence to all policies and procedures, including, but not limited to all safety, legal and ethical requirements.
Availability:
Work a flexible working schedule as dictated by the needs of the business and directed by the General Manager.
