Job Description:
? Organize a medium size product ware house from scratch
? Operate a forklift
? Drive and operate a large truck and make chemical deliveries. (Requires safe chemical handling and previous verifiable driving experience)
? Prompt and high level customer service
? Other job duties include answering phones and uploading data in the office computer when not dealing with warehouse and deliveries. (Computer knowledge and Savvy desired)
? Over the phone inside sales for our product line

Position pays base hourly wage depending on experience.

The role

You will be primarily responsible for leading process activities about plant research, EHS and technical improvement and the design and development of new equipment that is crucial for the success of companies.

If the site is a Top Tier COMAH facility, standing, process safety and environmental considerations. The Company
Part of global corporation, this division employs c. 900 and offers full scale biological manufacturing from initial concept to commercial product and process technology for expression optimization. With a range of global and multinational clients, they are looking to further expand their process engineering capabilities by recruiting additional Chemical Engineers into their team.


The Role


The role is essentially concerned with leading, motivating and developing the Process Development Engineers whilst maintaining and developing plant and manufacturing development, technology transfer and new product introduction. This will require you to:
• Deliver timely technology transfer of projects from R&D into manufacturing.
• Ensure technology transfer standards are upheld to satisfy all aspects of SHE and cGMP
• Identify improvements to and manage change of technology transfer practices to deliver continuous improvement.
• You will also conduct process reviews, GMP reviews, process transfer documentation, COSHH Assessment, safety reviews (HAZ1 and HAZ2;HAZ3), environmental assessments and to specify; purchase; install and qualify new project equipment + MOD existing equip, validation sub-plans, qualification review, instrument review/categorisation and associated plant support.


The Person


To be considered for this role you must be able to demonstrate:


• An honours degree or higher qualification in Chemical Engineering (or equivalent) and a minimum of 3 years experience in the areas of project management, technology transfer and (chemical) process engineering. Ideally this experience will be in the field of biotechnology or pharmaceutical but good chem eng experience in other sectors is also of interest.
• Willing to relocate to North East UK
