Job Duties
Under the direct supervision of the Director Of Special Events, the responsibilities of the Corporate & Events Manager position includes: (1) engagement & management of corporate and community partners (2) event coordination including but not limted to: Silver Circle Gala, Venice Art Walk, Children's Holiday Movie, young professionals, third party, and other events (3) management of event committees and volunteers; and (4) adminstrative & clerical support, logistics and any other fundraising projects as needed. Develop and manage a comprehensive corporate sponsorship program for all Clinic events (Silver Circle, Venice Art Walk & Auctions, Sack Lunch Series, 3rd party events) that leverages all of the opportunities available to sponsors. Determine appropriate sponsorship levels, recognition and media exposure benefits. Secure corporate underwriting for Venice Family Clinic programs, facilities and campaigns; identify, solicit, cultivate and secure corporate partners. Develop proposals, platforms, budgets, benefits and collateral. Negotiate partnership terms and manage fulfillment and execution of corporate partnerships & activation. Assist with creation and distribution of event marketing materials. Manage existing corporate partners; maintain relationships to ensure proper communication with partners and internal staff to meet contract requirements. Track revenue goals & progress and ensure Director of Special Events is briefed on all aspects of progress, needs, issues, and successes. Responsible for driving new prospects and cultivating existing prospects to achieve sponsorship goal of $200k (events), $125k (corporate programs) for fiscal 2013. Support Director of Special Events with logistics including: event coordination, administration, registration, inventory control, ticket sales, supply needs, administrative support and staffing. Through event planning, marketing, advertising and communication help ensure events are well attended, profitable and all around successful for the organization. Manage timelines, budgets and develop creative cost-saving and revenue enhancing measures. Assist with creation and distribution of event marketing materials. Work with Director of Special Events to manage event committees and volunteers. Closely manage projects assigned to committee members and volunteers; develop work flows and recognition procedures. Identify and recruit committee members and volunteers for Venice Family Clinic initiatives. Maintain strong working relationships with Development, Communications and Grants & Evaluations teams to ensure streamlined corporate sponsor solicitation. Work with Communications staff to develop digital and print materials including letters, brochures, appeals, and communications associated with Events and Sponsorship proposals. May require some Evenings and weekends. Other duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications
Working knowledge of non-profit fundraising principles. Ability to establish and maintain productive working relationship with staff and volunteers. Ability to write and edit creative, concise and grammatically correct correspondence and other written materials. Basic knowledge of graphic design and printing process.Demonstrated understanding of event planning and production. Computer skills, including demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and ability to learn new software programs; familiarity with Raiser's Edge and Access helpful. Ability to work independently. Typing skills to prepare materials with speed and accuracy. Ability to meet deadlines and complete detailed assignments in a timely and thorough manner. Ability to oversee multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize effectively to meet deadlines. Ability to identify goals and objectives of programs. Will be required to work occasional evening and weekend hours as needed. 2+ years managing corporate relations & events with a proven track record of success. Valid California driver's license.
