GN Cutting Dryer System for drilling cutting treatment

GN Vertical cutting dryer is  a device which use centrifugal force to dry drilled solids in oil or synthetic base fluids. It was adapted from the coal industry where they are used to separate slurries of coal. The design of cutting dryer consist of a fine mesh screen mounted on a rotating basket that generates centrifugal force for separation.

GN came up with a cost-effective Cutting Dryer System to reduce drilling fluid retention on cuttings (ROC). As shown in the Figure. GN vertical cutting dryer incorporated into a primary solids control system. Like shale shaker, decanter centrifuge. The fluids recoverd from the cutting dryer are picked up by decanter centrifuge for further treatment . and then the fluid can be returned to the mud system for reuse.
