Foreign Minister Meets Serbian and Greek Ambassadors

Iraq’s Foreign Minister, Hoshyar Zebari, met the Serbian Ambassador to Iraq, Radisav Petrovic, on Wednesday.

During the meeting, Minister Zebari called on the Serbian investment companies to contribute in Iraq’s reconstruction.

The Undersecretary for Policy Planning and Bilateral Relations, Head of the Europe Department, and the Minister’s Office Manager also attended the meeting.

Minister Zebari also met the Greek Ambassador to Iraq, Mercourios Karafotias, and discussed with him the Greek companies’ contribution in the reconstruction and development process.

Al-Maliki Opens International Book Fair in Baghdad

His Excellency Prime Minister Nouri Kamil Al-Maliki opened the International Book Fair at Baghdad International Fair on Thursday.

The Prime Minister said in a press conference:

“The Iraqi culture and Iraqi intellectuals are the priorities of our attention today, this is a considerable development compared to the time of the former regime, when books were banned.

“Iraq has returned again to embrace intellectuals and books, and there is an opportunity for printing and publishing, and this is one of the signs and indications of an atmosphere of freedom that we are witnessing in Iraq.

“We must focus on promoting culture so that we can build a civilized state, as the interest in culture is one of the basic steps in the construction efforts.“

His Excellency toured the book fair during which he met with the participants and listened to their views and ideas related to its development.

PVR Cinemax buys for Rs 395 cr, the nation's largest multiplex is

PVR will make the acquisition by Cine hospitality Private Ltd, a subsidiary of the company.

PVR PVR will also open a listing that said to the shareholders of Cinemax to buy up to 26 percent more, in the announcement.

The share would make India's largest PVR multiplex. PVR currently has approximately 210 screens.

Cinemax, which 39 properties with 138 screens operates, will help acquire PVR upscaling and become the largest multiplex company in India.

According to a report by CNBC-TV18, is even Imax looking to expand of its existing contract with PVR. IMAX hopes to open theaters in alliance with PVR in Bangalore Mumbai and Delhi soon, and to benefit from the PVR-Cinemax deal too.

SAIL Chairman C S Verma is also the head of NMDC, a scenario that allegedly anti-competitive. In response to a query on alleged oil price carterlisation Chawla said that the Commission was waiting for information from the Ministry of petroleum.

"We have asked the Petroleum Ministry to us information about the way (sector work) and how come they all the same kind of price. We are waiting for their reply, "he noted.
