Interactive Graphic Designer: Exciting Online Fashion Startup (West LA)
Company Description:
Little Black Bag is a venture backed eCommerce company that is introducing an entirely new way to shop online. The company is based on a Japanese retail store concept called the "lucky bag sale," where retailers sell bags of mystery products to consumers in a fun, socially engaging way. LBB is bringing this concept online in order to create a truly social shopping experience. LBB's co-founders are Dan Murillo, previously a venture capitalist with Greycroft Partner and Stanford MBA; David Weissman, a 12 year eCommerce veteran who most recently exited from GSI Commerce after eBay's $2.4 Billion acquisition; and Sasha Siddhartha, previously a Development Manager at Microsoft and Stanford computer science grad.
Overview:
The Interactive Graphic Designer will work closely with the Product team to create beautiful graphic assets for the web and mobile versions of the site. Additionally, the Designer will work closely with the Marketing team to create compelling Marketing collateral across various media types, including email, display, Facebook, YouTube, and others.
Qualifications:
? 2+ years of design experience
? Passion for Fashion
? Strong command over all elements of design, layout, typography and IA
? Ability to draw sophisticated and original digital graphics (either via tablet or with a mouse)
? Ability to design visually attractive and highly usable interfaces
? BA in web or graphic design preferred
? Must be a hands on designer -- pick up work will be needed for a multitude of projects.
? Awareness of current trends in interaction design, online, mobile and social media.
Responsibilities
? Work with the Product Management team to create highly stylized and fashion focused graphic assets based on wireframes.
? Draw original graphics, visual motifs, and other design elements for use on the site and in marketing collateral
? Create highly stylized and fashion focused marketing collateral to be used in: email marketing, landing pages, display ads, Facebook ads, and print.

Requirements:
* 4+ years of relevant professional experience (agency experienced preferred but not required)
* Expert in Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign
* Innovative design and typographic skills
* Ability to art direct and collaborate with other designers
* Participate in strategy meetings to translate business strategy into creative concepts
* Must be comfortable presenting creative concepts to clients
* Must follow web technology and trends (mobile UX, HTML5, parallax, responsive design)
* Fundamental understanding of the technical aspects of web design including file size limitations, transparency issues, file type strategies, optimization, browser limitations, etc.
* Experience/expertise in large e-commerce websites, mobile apps, social networking sites, banner ads, email marketing, and social media profiles and applications/widgets is preferred
* Mobile app design experience is a plus but not required.
* Must be looking for an in-office Mon - Fri position (reasonable flexibility and other perks are provided)
