Growing International company is seeking a Payroll Accountant. The Payroll Accountant will have a keen eye for detail and a strong customer service approach when dealing with employees to address matters related to their benefits, garnishments and payroll. This position will work closely with the Accounting and Human Resources departments to coordinate information related to benefits and other employee related matters. The Payroll Accountant will also be responsible for processing bi-weekly payroll, will reconcile employee benefits, reports and billings. Furthermore, this person will also be in charge of using the HRIS system to develop reports for management.

Duties and Responsibilities for the Payroll Accountant:
? Process payroll on bi-weekly basis for salaried and hourly employees
? Maintain confidentiality of compensation and employee related matters at all times
? Bonus and commission processing
? Reconcile benefits and payroll ledger accounts on a monthly basis
? Issue manual checks
? Assist with monthly, quarterly and year end closings
? Prepare monthly GL for reconciliation
? Maintain and update employee files as it relates to deductions, time off requests and retirement contributions
? Will assist with OSHA filings

Qualifications for the Payroll Accountant:
? *Minimum of four years management or progressively increasingly payroll accounting experience
? *Ceridian or SAP experience preferred
? Solid understand and working knowledge of payroll processes and best practices procedures
? *Knowledge of multi-state payroll laws
? CPP preferred
? A solid ability to deliver consistent high quality customer service in a professional manner
? *HRIS experience
? *OSHA knowledge
? *Minimum of four years experience processing retirement contributions

Processes weekly Union Employees' and twice-monthly Office Employees' in-house payrolls, generates checks and/or electronic transfers as applicable. Handles wage assignments and garnishments. Prepares Certified Payroll reports plus State and Federal required documentation.Makes timely deposits of payroll withholdings and related employment taxes.Prepares Union Benefit Reports and related checks for management review and approval. Handles matters pertaining to group health, dental, vision and life insurance accounts, ensuring that all premiums are prepared and made both accurately and timely.

In addition to the Payroll duties addressed above, this individual will also assist in certain general Accounting duties.

Performs other payroll related duties as assigned by Management.

This is a "hands-on" position. The individual administers the payroll functions, but does not supervise any staff-members or co-workers.
