Experienced & energetic General Manager for established restaurant (La Mirada)

We are looking for someone who is HIGHLY organized, familiar with both full service and catering, with taking phone orders, and can work well under pressure. Excellent interpersonal skills, strong knowledge of food and wine, professional appearance, and hands-on resourcefulness are a must. 5-day work week and competitive salary commensurate with experience.

The ideal candidate is someone who can lead, train and inspire the team at the restaurant to deliver total guest satisfaction. The candidate should have successful experience as a General Manager or Assistant General Manager in a full-service restaurant.

The General Manager assumes complete responsibility for all functions of the restaurant as necessary, including but not limited to, payroll accounting, managing all service shifts, reservations, marketing promotions, guest relations, and managing staff. An enthusiastic, can-do attitude is a must. Proficiency in Open Table and Excel is necessary and experience with In Design is preferred.

Responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to:
? Responsible for supervising both FOH & BOH daily operations.
? Ability to generate restaurant volume/revenue via use of neighborhood networking.
? Responsibilities include ensuring guest and employee satisfaction while maintaining the operating budget.
? Ability to develop others including future leaders
? Ordering products.
? Managing Stock.
? Creating schedule for staff
? Ensures standards and legal obligations are followed.
? Championing of a culture of EXCELLENCE

Education and Experience:
? High school diploma or GED; 5 years experience in the food and beverage, culinary, or related professional area.
OR
? 2-year degree from an accredited university in Food Service Management, Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or related major; 3 years experience in the food and beverage, culinary, or related professional area.
