PHP Developer (Venice)

The Tapiture team is looking for a goal driven senior-level PHP developer with years of experience in high traffic websites with millions of database rows worth of content. We need a developer who can write excellent, fully notated code that emphasizes readability and practicality over cleverness. The developer also needs to know how to properly integrate MySQL database transactions that will execute quickly in a web environment.

We look for engineers who love finding efficient and thoughtful solutions to a variety of technical and product challenges. If you create smart, simple and streamlined answers to complex technical problems, we want to hear from you.

PHP
- In-depth knowledge of PHP 5.3+
- OOP & Magic methods
- MVC Patter
- Use of Memcache
- API Integrations
MySQL
- The ability to manage large data sets efficiently in a web transaction environment
- Full knowledge of explains, indexes, and other optimization methods
- A very firm grasp of relational tables
- Some knowledge of stores procedures and replication
Bonus Points
- NGINX
- Linux systems experience (can you compile PHP from source?)
- Smarty Template Engine
- GIT(hub)
- A love of the beach and dogs
- Ninja Skills
