An newly created opportunity for a (Senior) Exploration Geophysicist who can work as a self-directed prospect generator in a variety of basin settings has just been created due to growth and the need for further growth exploration. Primarily the role will be to participate in evaluation and operational work programmes and projects, consistent with asset/NV objectives, in such a way as to ensure best use of funds and maximise value through accurate subsurface characterisations work on increasing a portfolio of drillable, globally competitive opportunities by identifying and acquiring new inventory through the licence rounds, farm-ins &/or trades.

You will be responsible for:
Projects: project definition with immediate supervisor and the implementation of agreed work programmes/projects;
High quality evaluations: to ensure all projects are undertaken to generate a high-quality of insight through own work and coordination/QC of the work of others;
Accurate reporting and recommendations: to management, co-venturers and government;
Records management: assist in ensuring that asset-related data and records are accurately captured, documented, distributed and appropriately curated to meet company and host government needs;

Desirable Characteristics:
MSc or PhD plus variable amount of post-graduation experience;
Strong belief in high quality geoscience analysis as the basis for optimal decision making;
An ability to work with other individuals/teams to deliver project objectives;
Willingness to learn and develop knowledge and experience of standard industry evaluation workflows, tools, techniques and operations;
Enthusiasm, commitment and willingness to act proactively when required;
Ability to work to defined to project scopes, timelines and budgets;
Ability to formulate recommendations to management, co-venturers, etc.;
