Jefferson County house fire victim identified

The Jefferson County Coroner's Office has announced the identity of a 67-year-old man killed in a house fire Thursday night near Pleasant View.

William Edward Alexander's body was found at a home at 1415 Isabell St. on Thursday night about 10:48 p.m.

Chief Deputy Coroner Carl Blesch said the preliminary cause of death is asphyxiation.

Alexander lived alone at the home within unincorporated Jefferson County.

Authorities have said foul play is not suspected.

Denver coroner identifies hit-and-run victim as Dolly Rosales, 58

 A pedestrian killed in a weekend hit-and-run was a 58-year-old Denver woman, the Denver medical examiner's office said Monday.

Dolly Rosales was pronounced dead at the scene of the collision, which happened about 5:30 p.m. Sunday in the 2800 block of South Sheridan Boulevard in southwest Denver. The medical examiner said it would perform an autopsy on Monday.

Police continued to search for a vehicle described only as a white minivan with front-end damage. It was last seen headed north on South Sheridan Boulevard.

Police urged anyone with information about the crash or the driver's identity to call Crime Stoppers at 720-913-7867.

Police ID victim, suspect in Friday's hotel murder-attempted suicide

Police have identified the victim and suspect in Friday night's apparent murder-attempted suicide in Westminster that left a female hotel employee dead and a man gravely wounded.

Police were called to Savannah Suites at 120th Avenue and Mariposa Street around 7 p.m. on a report of gunshots. When officers arrived on scene, they found front desk clerk Antida Archuleta, 20, dead, Westminster police spokeswoman Cheri Spottke said.

The alleged shooter, Seth Wilkinson, 20, was also found with a self-inflicted gunshot wound. He survived his injuries, but his condition remains unknown, according to a Saturday news release.

Both parties were from Brighton, and it is believed the victim and shooter knew each other and had some sort of prior relationship.

At the time of the shooting, parts of the hotel were cordoned off. People staying at the hotel were allowed into their rooms through alternate entrances.

Investigators continue to actively work on the case, and no additional details were immediately available.
