As part of the marketing department, this team provides analytics support and collaborates on integrated marketing campaigns including content marketing, SEO, email and PR. The Online Marketing team is responsible for creating and maximizing high volume PPC campaigns with large budgets on Google, Yahoo, and MSN. In partnership with the company's international operations, this team also manages digital campaigns for the company's German, Japanese, UK and Spanish sites. The Director of Search Engine Marketing will own and manage SEM functions for Pearl.com. You will manage a team of online marketers in building a world-class search engine marketing program. You will oversee all online advertising, including ad testing, SEM strategy, agency management, bidding strategy, campaign implementation and optimization, data analyses and reporting.
Responsibilities ? Develop and manage all SEM activities, including continuous optimization of text ads, display ads and keywords, to drive website and mobile traffic, increase conversions and achieve revenue and ROI targets ? Lead development and testing of ad creative, keywords, targeting and landing pages to meet and exceed revenue and traffic goals ? Develop testing plans and execute new online marketing programs, such as display, social ads, re-targeting and mobile ads ? Work with BI and Analytics teams to find actionable insights to grow and gain market share ? Manage online marketing budget and directly contribute to Pearl.com's bottom line ? In partnership with the international operations team, lead online marketing efforts for our German, Japanese, Spanish, and UK sites. ? Direct data projects such as maintaining search engine APIs, developing reports and analysis ? Collaborate with other marketing leaders to develop and execute integrated marketing campaigns, such as new product launches and customer events ? Manage, inspire and mentor a talented online marketing team ? Regularly report on campaign results to executive team ? Select and manage agencies as needed
Key Requirements ? 5+ years of hands-on experience in search engine marketing managing a large keyword volume and budget, preferably at a consumer-facing technology company or search agency ? Experience with Google APIs and third-party search management tools ? Strong quantitative, analytical and problem solving skills ? Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively across departments and teams ? Comfortable with large data sets and data models ? Bachelor's Degree in a quantitative field
Desired Skills ? International marketing experience ? Basic understanding of SQL
