Donald Trump has waged public feuds with beloved comedians and the leader of the free world.
Now the brazen mogul has his narrowed eyes set on a new adversary. And this time, his ire has gone international.
Trump is taking aim at wind energy, in a series of charged tweets and a threat to pull his investment in a planned Scottish hotel that would overlook an offshore wind energy project, according to a report by NPR.
“I will not build this hotel if they are going to build this ridiculous wind farm,” Trump said. “Who would build a hotel where the windows are looking right into an industrial turbine?”
According to NPR, the Scottish government recently approved construction of 11 large offshore turbines, within eyeshot of the Trump International Championship Golf Links course, which opened near Aberdeen, Scotland last year.
Trump is planning a second golf course and a luxury hotel there, as well.
The resort, he tells NPR, “will be truly spectracular and truly beautiful.”
Wind turbines, on the other hand, “are a disaster for the environment,” he says.
Here are some of Trump’s recent rants against wind power:
Obama’s carbon tax plan will finance more windmills in America. More real estate depreciated, wildlife killed, incl. bald eagles

Kern County, CA has secured $1.2B for windfarms http://t.co/NFAarkCoxj They also just secured more eagle deaths & low property values.

Another example of the destruction caused by wind turbines. Unnecessary waste–horrible! http://t.co/eod0dxXBTg — Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) June 28, 2013
Who would be stupid enough to invest in @VattenfallGroup‘s ill-conceived windfarm when it will lose £25M yearly?
