Rig Service Hand / Field Service Technician - Warrior - Oklahoma City, OK

Primary Role

Provide excellent customer service, maintenance and repair of Warrior top drive systems and drilling equipment.

Responsibilities

Include, but are not limited to, the following:
Maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and inspecting Warrior top drives and related drilling equipment Assisting or supervising the installation and rig-up/rig-down of Warrior equipment Providing technical support to drilling operations and other top drive personnel Training rig personnel on safe and proper operation and preventative maintenance of Warrior equipment Performing field evaluations for suitability of product application and fitment Traveling to the field as required to perform assigned duties Maintaining company-issued tools Reporting daily to management Working a 14/7 day rotational schedule Basic Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent Mechanical, hydraulics or electrical certificate considered an asset Top drive rig-up/rig-down experience considered an asset Rig experience or background considered a huge asset Able to work at heights Valid driver's license with a clean driving record Willing to travel extensively Valuable Assets

SUMMARY
Learn fabrication and rig up by performing the following duties.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Bore Rig/Cable Plow Operators - Telecommunications Industry - Holtger Bros., Inc - Green Bay, WI

The Equipment Operator is responsible for performing Utility Work/Labor duties as well as responsible for operating construction equipment in order to install underground cable. The Equipment Operator is responsible for performing shore, slop trench and excavation when necessary. Other duties include unloading and loading equipment, digging holes and locating existing utilities, preparing cable routes, feeding cable, securing the job site, placing signs where directed and completing various other tasks as assigned by the Foreman.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
A) Operate various equipment in placing cable and conduit (boring rig, cable trencher/plow, backhoe, box pusher, tamper)
B) Perform shoring, slope trenching or excavation when necessary
C) Identify various soil types
D) Work around located utilities
E) Expose existing utilities by hand-digging
F) Read prints for cable placement and consult with Foreman regarding different approaches to job. Read CATV and telephone prints
G) Report equipment problems to Foreman

QUALIFICATIONS
A) Must have a valid, insurance acceptable drivers license
B) Must be able to successfully pass pre-employment drug test
C) Must have one to two years in utility construction
D) Must have solid work references
E) Must have the ability to perform hard physical labor
F) Must match HBI's outlined working styles
G) Must have or be able to obtain a Class A CDL

Cabot talks Eagle Ford and the emerging Pearsall Shale

The Houston-based Cabot Oil & Gas has a lot of Eagle Ford Shale acreage, but is also one of the few companies talking publicly about its work in the underlying Pearsall Shale.

Here’s some Pearsall and Eagle Ford highlights from Cabot’s recent first-quarter call with analysts.

Cabot plans 15 horizontal wells in the Pearsall this year, and right now it’s drilling three well. So far it has nine producing Pearsall wells, which have a 30-day production rate average of 600 barrels of oil equivalent per day (that’s the mix of crude oil and natural gas and natural gas liquids produced in a well). About half of those barrels are crude oil.

The next Eagle Ford: Excitement grows for another South Texas shale

The company has been concentrating on the Pearsall Shale, but in doing so it is “holding” it’s Eagle Ford acreage. (Mineral leases often have a time by which drilling has to start – often three years – and a depth severance provision, so drilling a deep formation like the Pearsall “holds” all the formations above it such as the Eagle Ford, so companies can come back and drill them later).

Dan O. Dinges, chairman, CEO and President of Cabot, said, “We had 3 rigs operating in the Pearsall, 1 rig has moved back to the Eagle Ford during the quarter… The Pearsall, it’s still a young play and remains a science project for us… We have a thick column of hydrocarbon and continue to work on all aspects of drilling and completing a cost-effective well.”

But even though it’s concentrating on Pearsall right now, it has 43 wells in the Eagle Ford. In the first quarter the company drilled its longest horizontal reach to day, at 8,200 feet. The well was complete with a 30-stage hydraulic fracturing operation, which uses water, sand and chemicals to break open the dense shale rock.
